Metal tripod mod?

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone out there has modified a metal tripod from say Losmandy or Synta,to fit a Tak or Ap mount? Is this a practicle consideration

can be done but why? the synta one isn't that great, and the losmandy is similar to tak and ap for tripod strength

I got one of these flappy wheel things from bunnings and stripped the paint from inside the hole on the eq6 tripod and now the em200 head fits it It appears the skywatcher eq6 mount is very close to the em-200, even the counterweights are interchangable.

Nice setup Chris, the losmandy semi pier mount is very nice i think, though i had the pleasure of seeing the collapsible HD tripod that they use for the titan and G11's... oooh that is one hell of a nice piece of work and chunkeeeee!

At the end of the day i guess it just comes down to how much money you have to throw at your hobby. If your running on a shoe string budget, then you gotta do what you gotta do!
