Exclamation Astronomy 2006 - Payment and your address details

Guys and Gals,

For those that expressed interest in getting a copy of Astronomy 2006 by Quasar Astronomy through IIS, now is the time to make payment and send me your address.

The cost is $23 posted to your door.

Please make your payment by depositing into the bank account listed at the Donate page. Please make sure the reference includes your forum name so I can match it up to your address!

Please PM me with your postal address once you've made your payment.

If you'd prefer an alternative form of payment, you can send me a money order (PM me for my address) or PM me with your suggestions of other methods of payment you'd prefer to use.

If I can hand you your book in person (at the Kulnura meets or if you live locally), then the cost is $20.

If you're sending a money order for the Astronomy 2006 book, and have also said you'd like a red-light pen, feel free to include the cost of the pen(s) in the money order!

By the way, it's not too late to order your copy now. Even if you didn't vote in the orignial poll, just follow the instructions in the thread above and book yourself a book!

For those that did vote in the affirmative, now is the time to follow through with your payment and PM me your address.

The order has been placed today, and I've made the payment to Quasar Publishing.

So guys, please come forth with your payment. I'm not keen on having over $500 worth of Astronomy 2006 books sitting on my bookshelf at home!

See attachment for the cover of the 2006 edition.

My wife has just opened a second hand book shop Mike ao I'm sure she'll take them off you at a very good price.

And that has nothing to do with the beginners astronomy course I'm running atm.

No Geoff, the books or pens won't be coming to the star camp with me.

Still plenty of time to get orders for books and pens in!

Red Light Pen

Hi jmb,

Have a look at the original post - it has a nice picture and everything.

http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...8&page=2&pp=20

The red light pen can be used to take notes at the telescope (or binoculars). You can record what you see and the red light does not spoil your dark adaption ie you aren't blinded when you look into your eyepiece or binoculars.

Very handy if you are going to record your observations in a log book.

Just a note - while I'm away I won't be able to confirm payments, and books will be sent out early-mid November (they haven't been sent by Quasar yet).

Pens will be send mid-late November, as they haven't arrived yet.

Yep $43 will be fine John. They'll come in 2 separate envelopes though as they won't fit in the 1.

FYI everyone:

I've sent 24 books out today (to those whose payment has been confirmed), and in the envelope I included a few IceInSpace stickers for your.. umm.. loving and enjoyment??

There's still many books left, so please follow the instructions in the first post of this thread and get your Astronomy 2006 (and stickers!).

Another FYI: There's a small paragraph about IceInSpace in the back of Astronomy 2006 - yet another reason to buy it!

Please note: Those who have also paid for red-light pens, the pens have not been received yet so they will come separately in a few weeks time.

Hi All,

Mike,

Thank you for your efforts,my book arrived today and I am very impressed with it.
Must admit I much preffered the layout of the sky maps, they used a couple of years ago.

The "Ice In Space" stickers will find a good mounting spot also.
Thanks Again.
Regards.John
