As part of my self education in photography I have purchased a book on Macro from the Photo Workshops series. Part of the book is a series of assignments which I am working my way through. The first 2 are "Colours, Candy and Cameras" and "My Favourite". My 2 submissions are below. The first one is from a random pile of musk sticks and the other needs no explanation, except maybe to a few imagers (hint: its an eyepiece!)

PS first image ISO 200 1/8sec and f3.5, second ISO 200, 1/2sec at f2.8. Both taken with 400d and Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lense.
