Namadgi Night

Four PM, the knock-off bell rings, a cloud of dust hangs in the car-park where the adventurer's ute once stood.....

Nice picture Baz

Very Lord of the Rings, Gandalf commanding the clouds to go away.

Thanks Ric! It was my first time using the 5D MK II for a night shoot and my first time using live view as I have never had it before with the old 400D.

To make matters worse, the mounting plate for the new Manfrotto ball-head was on my other camera, so I got to the top of the mountain carrying the tripod, only to realise I couldn't use it!! I balanced the camera on my bag and set the timer to take the shots instead.

Ah well, I guess it's just as much about the story as it is the photos.

I learned a valuable lesson at least...CHECK LIST!

Baz.
