I was hoping they would give the darleks, cybermen and the master a rest this season, good to see the weeping angels are back next week.

Hmmm.. party coloured Daleks and Spitfires in space. I'm a complete Dr Who fan, and have been for my whole life, but this episode was really ...well....

Have to agree whole heartedly Chris, shame, hope that isn't the future direction of the Dr.
I think the comedian guy that wrote that story should stick to comedies.

Was it just me or was the sound track overly dynamic?
I struggled to hear what half of them were saying while the so called "background" music blasted my ears off.

Out of ten, scored one & a half Kaled mutants from me.

re DR WHO

YES-Omaroo,I agree with you,the party coloured daleks-they look like

'teletubbies';it really was ashame they have changed so much on DR WHO,they have also changed the music for the worst.

And that Amy is starting to turn into a 'Donna'

I think I will give it a miss from now on,and try and build a 2005 model dalek.

Chris

Coloured Darlek's although beefier are not scarier

I've been disappointed in the writing and the performance's in a number of episodes in these new Dr series they seem to lack the starkness and dramatic approach of the earlier ones.

To many bells and whistles

They have great potential to be nasty adversaries of the DR, they need to do a bit of work on the time lapse pics as they are moving. More like the matrix I think.

probably won't give those things a break.
tertiary source: according to a friend that works with a writer for Doctor Who (books) there is an order to the episodes:
introduce the doctor
flesh out the companion
filler episode
daleks
filler
.
.
.
i expect cybermen to appear in about four episodes, i guess.

the Angels in teh episode "Blink" were frightening and blink was the best episode of the doctor ever written (big call!). the new angels/doctor lack soemthing...

still, we can all grumble but most of us willl be watching Doctor Who anyway.

Same reaction here - that was a naff episode. We have had coloured daleks before though - I think the supreme dalek used to be red for instance - as for the spitfires in space very silly but then I guess it was no worse than independance day.
