Space Spiders - for real!

Yep, you read it right. Space Spiders!!!!

The Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency will launch a satellite called Furoshiki on 18 January 2006 carrying two small robotic spiders named 'RobySpace Junior 1 and 2', and they are going to walk around on a web.

They are testing to see if robotic spiders can build things in Space!
It is an interesting read and a very creative idea.

Check it out here: http://www.newscientistspace.com/art...atellites.html

The Stargate replicators are nasty!!!!

But these are friendly Replicators Paul! (we hope) and they don't replicate themselves (yet).

You are right John, what will they think of next! Robotics are simple these days. There is already a camera in a Radio Controlled robotic Fly for spying!

What about those spider things in Doom3, I hated them and had to kill them all as a matter of principal.

Sorry - lost track what sub forum I was in
