LRGB filter set - [SOLD]

Finger Lakes Instrumentation Research grade 50mm LRGB filter set (unmounted).

Quality equal to Astrodon, Astronomik or Baader filters, they will fit in any filterwheel that takes 50mm filters.

For full specifications and transmission curves see (RG 50D LRGB): http://www.flicamera.com/fli/filters.html

Here they are listed at OPT: http://www.optcorp.com/product.aspx?...I filters&st=2

They show no star halos or other spurious reflections sometimes seen in other brands.

FLI also offer matching Ha OIII and SII filters if you want to add to your imaging capabilities.

Like new condition - only starlight has passed through them,

In original packing pouches.

AU$500 including postage

Cheers
Mike Sidonio

Well, as luck would have it I am looking to upgrade from my existing 1.25inch filters and wheel to a 2inch system. Excuse my ignorance, but how do you use these if they are unmounted? How do I get them into a filterwheel? There doesn't appear to be any threaded frame or rim.

Thanks
Darrell

Hi Darrell

Most top line filters come unmounted for serious CCD work, this reduces the vignetting providing maximum filter aperture.

There are a number of filter wheels (or seperate internal wheels) available that accept unmounted filters. The filterwheel of choice for 50mm filters is deffinitely the FLI CFW-2-7 and I highly recommend it, it is really the industry standard 50mm FW. The FW comes with thin retaining rings that hold the filters in the filter pockets.

Remember also that FLI offer the narrowband set as well so you could upgrade to the whole imaging set if you wished

Cheers

I'm willing to negotiate if anyone is interested in these

A perfectly good set of 50mm LRGB filters that perform as well as any other well known brand and will fit any filterwheel that takes 50mm filters.

I have had a few "would like them but need to sell my camera first" enquiries but no takers yet. Humi nearly bought'em but decided to wait for his long over due Baaders .. all good Humi

This 50mm unmounted LRGB filters set costs around AU$1000 + GST(?) + postage, so $500 incl postage is a super duper bargain. They are a perfect LRGB filter set ready to drop straight in a filterwheel.
