SPSP 10 video

Hi Guys

You may seen this sequence before stacked as a single image, but this Video (utube) is well, 125 images as a video sequence .

Before you view it, click on the 720 "HD" option and view it full screen. The res has been still squashed to hell, and its a bit noisy, a lesson for next time .

One very interesting lesson from this project though, was the making process.

I played with quick time and MS video maker, Premier etc tying to find an app that would adjust brightness/curves etc as a video, untill it suddenly occured to me in an epiphany that I should be curving in PS, since the scource was DSLR stills, but automate it to avoid 3 weeks of adjusting 125 subs.

Making an action was the answer, and good grief, how easy was that ! .

Just create a new action (one click, and a name), click record, process away as you would on a single frame, click stop when done.

The action included multiple curves, selection, noise reduction, resizing, croping (to video size), all in good relaxed time.

Then I selected one image, clicked play to test it, any part of the action can be edited, and ran it over all 125 subs, bingo, too easy, and FAST .

Then imported into premier pro as a sequence, and out came a video (most video apps can convert sequences into video, but the image adjustments dont get close to PS natch)

OK, many here use actions, no brainer, but I was supprised how easy it was to make one .

You can see scopes smoothly scanning the sky.

From extreme closeup, to extreme wide angle .. you're a man of contrasts Fred.

Nice video - must try that sometime!

Cheers, Marcus
