The Australia Telescope Compact Array is having an Open Day on
Sat 17th July 2010 from 10:00 to 16:00 AEST. Located 20km west of Narrabri
and operated by the CSIRO, the Australia Telescope Compact Array is one
of the world's foremost radio astronomy observatories.
A poster in PDF format is attached.
Having had the fortunate opportunity of getting inside tours of this amazing facility
on a few occasions, I wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
Behind the scenes are a lot of amazingly talented scientists, engineers and technicians
and if you want to feel incredibly proud of Australia's prowess in this field of
endeavor, get to Narrabri and chat to some of them about their work.
