M50

The finest cluster in Monoceros ! M50 sits at a distance of about 2900 LY away and is about 14 LY in diameter . This fine cluster glows at mag: 5.9 and is a very nice binocular show piece . This shot was a 3 minute guided exposure and processed in PS .

Imagine how I feel. All dressed up and nowhere to go.
If it's not the weather, it's the moon. If it's not the moon then it's work.

I can't win to get some decent imaging sessions in.

Hey Louie thats a nice shot..did you try a shadow highlight in PS?

reason I ask is that it seems to me that there is a whole lot more hidden in the image that may be could be brought out

I would have tried it but my PC has crashed and #$@%^& Microsoft won't let me reinstall the OS saying I have installed it on too many machines or some such.
