Hello,

Finally, after too long I managed to get a few nights of imaging time. Been away for a week and got 5 nights of imaging in a row (i wasnt too fit for a conversation on the last day...)

Got to play with my new toys and sort out some issues and get the mount, tracking, stacking, etc working better.
Of course until I got the hang of things i had to loose half the lights I'd acquired ...
nevertheless, I managed to image the Bug and M83 (Ill post in aminute)

Still need to refine the processing of course but i'm pleased with my improvements over previous efforts on the same targets.

Incidentally, this Bug was due to be done inspired yb Fred's amazing narrowband of the same target.

here it is with the old one for comparison !

Yeah, thats good, I like it, and the added bonus of a wider field to show off actual nice properly done, coloured stars ;-).

Lovely rendition of this target. The colors are subtle and sharp (first image the best IMHO)

I find it very hard to guide effectively and consistently at that FL but you have a permanent pier set-up so I guess it makes things a bit more predictable and easier for you from one session to the other. I'm getting the Starlight Xpress latest AO delivered next week for my C11 so I'll see how that goes. Those shots give me hope.

I am slowly learning how to get the best of the equipment. The processessing is a good learni g curve that I'm enjoying too.

I used to skip over a lot of the "technical" advice re processing i read from the real experts here because i couldn't understand/relate to it.

Now I use every little subtle trick I can get my hands on !
