Tamron 18-250mm Lens

Finally purchased the Tamron 18-250mm Lens as an all in one general purpose wide/telephoto zoom lens after much looking around. Seems to get the best reviews as being the best all in one lens solution for DSLR's...

I can't speak for the quality of the lens, but to be able to shoot wide than to zoom right in, is that about 4 x the mag of the Nikkor? I think that was the inference in the original post, to go from wide angle to telephoto without changing the lens.

My 2 cents... damn... rounded down to zero
