Excellent work John, not sure if I have seen this approach taken previously, very innovative and most effective.

Regards
Trevor

Thank you guys. In hindsight, I should have perhaps shot a frame every 5 mins to smooth it out. I made a movie of it as well (AVI) & converted to MP4 but it's rather fast & I don't know how to slow it down.

Hi Jen.

Well I'm sure there's plenty of software out there for projects like this & in fact, programs that we astro enthusiasts use, like Bink & Smacker, VirtualDub etc. are quite capable of doing it but I prefer to use this:

http://www.blibs.com/editor/

It's free, plus you don't have to download & install yet ANOTHER program to your computer!

Yes JPEG. After cropping & resizing each frame, my editing software saves them as TIF's & uploaded the TIF's straight to the linked page. Once it's done it's thing it will save it as a gif.

Thanks JJJ. With this being basically my first serious attempt at an animation, you can bet your bottom dollar I'm going to have to attempt a reprocess - I want BIGGER & better!

John,

That's wonderful -- thanks for that. I didn't bother going outside because I could see what looked like cloud from my little window next to my desk here. Now I have seen it. : P
