Heads up: cheap storage

All,

I'm not affiliated with Office Works, but, apparently they have Seagate external 1 TB hard drives going for just $99.

That's about the cheapest storage I've seen to date.

They will go well with one of those little $50 LinuxOS NAS systems that tandum mentioned a month or so back. I bought one and have 2 x 300GB externals I just happened to have at the time on it (the NAS has 2 x USB ports) and it's connected through my wireless router and works as an FTP sever for all the machines in the home network inclusing the obsevatory. After a night imaging, I just dump all the RAW images into the NAS to get them off the laptop's HD. With 2 of these 1TB drives it would provide many years of good storage for me. I have a separate 1TB NAS that is my official backup drive so this gives be a little redundancy as well.

There seems to be a lot of specials happening, alway enough time to wait for them to show. Got a 1TB along with my new laptop with 650MB goes a long way now.
