New Moon Observing Party QB weekend

Last weekend a few astronomers came up for the weekend from Brisbane.

The Friday was average, the Saturday was great, the Sunday was, unfortunatly a cloud out.

Here is a few photos of some of the group setting up their gear, with the country side in the back ground.David managed to capture some fine images with his Tak and modded camera.

I put my new 50D and 17-55 f 2.8 lens on top of one of the scopes, and did one 6 and a half minute exp of Scopious region.I was planning to take some better photos on the Sunday-without the telescope sticking out into the photo. But as usual got clouded out.I hope someone has a look at the Scorpiouis photo and leaves a comment,This is the first time I used this camera for any sort of astro work

Thanks for looking,Chris
