M20, M17 and M16

Hi
Its been too long.
Starting to get the hang of the STL11000M and processing LRGB and LLRGB stuff. I get no joy out of Ha because I dont have a seperate guide scope. I will in time but for now I think ill stick to LRGB.

Boy oh boy...why didn't I take the RED pill (Quote from the Matrix)

There are soooo many different processing paths.

I also think i need to start imaging for a bit longer than 10 min with the C14 at F/11.

Anyway, had some lighs from a month ago but not enough to really process M16 so i got some more this past New Moon and a few others for M20 and 17.

I also got to experiment with binning RGB 2x2.

I didn't like the concept but I'm happy with LRGB results with RGB 2x2 enough and its the only way to truly get enough subs for me given the limited time i get at the scope.

Not 100% happy with any of the shots but happy enough that I am producing SOMETHING ! Two versions of the M16 Pillars.

This last New Moon long weekend was awesome with four clear imaging nights for me (i was exhausted by the end of it)

Here they are:

Thanks for looking

Cool sets of shots Frank. I've also noticed your C14 field is looking real good. Not a hint of field curvature. Do you crop your shots or use a FF?

Very impressive Frank.

I hope I have the patience in this hobby to acquire the skills for successful narrowfield imaging.

Thanks Mark and David.

David,
I have no patience...is a sad fact I've been in denial about for a long time but its true...i have so little patience... This hobby/curse is a constant test and is teaching me to grow some skills in patience (especially with myself!)

Mark,
It's pretty much as is. Some cropping usually out of the stacking of the various frames which don't line up properly especially since i need to acquire a different guide star post meridian flip.

I get a really nice FOV with the 6.3 FR but I'm not imaging at F7 these days, trying to push the F/11 imaging for a while and iron out guiding bugs etc.

thanks for the feedback
cheers
frank
