Omega Centauri - DSS - What Should It Look Like?

Hey guys

ED80, NEQ6 Pro, Nikon D40, stacked in Deep Sky Stacker:
- 3 x 300s exposures @ ISO 800
- 3 x 300s darks

I'm fiddling with setting in DSS and within Nikon's 'Picture Project'.

Which one is more natural? Hard to tell what this thing should look like...

Cheers,

Logan

1 & 3 look good to me. 2 looks like there is no EV or WB correction, taken under a light polluted sky.

hey there mate,

Looks to me a balance of colour. Thats where Photoshop comes to the for in my eyes as you can watch the histograms and also utilize the eye dropper for information on how many parts RGB are adding to the black background. just for ref, remove some green, add a tiny bit of blue in the lower part of the histogram and that should help it a wee bit, other than that the only thing that could be done is take reduction images, that is images of lower exposure time then blend them back into the final image. this resolves the core. I sent you a email with a image of omega so you can kind of use that as a referance.
