Daylight Moon & Venus

Today I followed my own advice and went out about midday in search of the Moon and Venus. I found the Moon but could not see Venus. Took a happy snap anyway and lo and behold there is Venus, if you look closely .

Went back out about 5 and Venus was much easier to spot. Didn't show up much better in the photo.

Unfortuanately clouds were rolling in so couldn't get a shot of them when it was dark.

Interesting images Michael, in the 2nd image there also appears to be something right on the unlit limb of the Moon.

Regards
Trevor

I had a look on Stellarium at the time of the second image. Most likely candidate is HIP40483A. When I zoom right in on the original there are a couple of other possible stars also, but then again it could just be part of the noise.
