Venus 15th Dec.

Hi all.

Not a bad night for a change, 7/10 seeing.

400 total frames @ 10 per sec 53 stacked.

6" refractor & toUcam.

I'm beginning to REALLY like this lil' toUcam.

Australian Ido Judge - "Thats what I'm talkin' 'bout!"

Great shot! Huge image scale (compared to anything I've done), and no gross chroma ghosts around the edge.

Jees Asi, I don't even watch the stuff but even I know. One of Aussie Idol Judge (Mark Holden) top ten favourite embarassing preformance comments.

Great shot by the way. Have you grey scaled the images?

Ah-Hah! So that's what Venus is supposed to look like!!!!

Makes mine pitiful. Very nice AsiJohn.

Don't worry, I didn't get the 'Aussie Ido judge' bit either. I still don't!

very nice Asi, this looks very fine and planetty , can almost see-imagine some density differences in the atmosphere - have u got a violet or blue filter to try...

how a rebadged "stairway to the stars" ever managed to become a popular TV past-time is to me a greater mystery than the missing dark matter in the universe... I only watch ABC and SBS.
cheers,

We get 3 channels down here, but I prefer the fourth one. (the power button on the remote)

If I want the latest news, I come to IIS.....faster than any TV station I know. If I wasn't a PS2 maniac I'd sell the TV.

My best, & last images of venus...she's on her way down fast. Getting too low to image successfully for me.

Well done Asi. Even better than the last one. Venus is fast becoming my favorite planet and soon we will loose it behind that big bright yellow thing...

Thanks all.

Not the best venus capture in the world, but for a slap together job out of a very poor seeing affected AVI it came up pretty nice.
