M86 and friends

I've been working on this project for a couple of nights and managed to add another 50 minutes of data last night (before the clouds rolled in again) to the 100 minutes I already had. I've still got some coma and colimation issues that I need to sort out however I'm quite pleased with the details that are starting to appear in some of the smaller galaxies.

Comments and advice welcome....

Really nice shot Peter and the colours on all the small galaxies are coming through nicely. Good focus and tracking as usual.

Nice Peter
Looks like its straight out of this month's S&T (and I don't think theirs was an amateur shot from memory)

Edit: Oops - its a Martin Pugh shot - probably better than most professionals.....

Very nice Peter, starting to get some tidal stream detail in NGC4438 as well as some faint fuzzies, sounds like you're planning on adding to it if weather permits.

Your stars may not be perfect but it could be a lot worse...they could look like mine.

Yes, nice shot Peter - certainly seeing some detail in the smaller spirals as you mentioned!

Peter,

That's a wonderful effort.

Your background looks good to me.

Thanks for the feedback Justin, David, Doug and Humayun. I really like these fields with lots of small galaxies. I must spend some more time on this area as this worked out a lot better than I was expecting.
