Animation of Jupiter and Uranus

Hi all,

I took another image of Jupiter and Uranus this morning with my tripod-mounted K100D and 300mm telephoto, and combined it with an image from Tuesday to produce this little animation. It shows nicely the movement of these 2 planets against the background stars. If the weather co-operates I'll try and add some more frames over the next few days.

Hope you like it!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Ray and Liz!

It is interesting to see how fast these wanderers wander. I didn't expect to see as much movement for Uranus, but I guess it's 4 times the distance of Jupiter, so should move about a quarter the distance against the background stars (at least with respect to parallax?)

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Matt! I have a fairly basic setup, so I like seeing what can be achieved with just a dSLR and tripod.

Cheers,
Stephen
