Go Tiges!!!! Eat 'em Alive!!!

As a long suffering Richmond supporter, it was marvellous to see the boys salute today. Few things are sweeter than a win over either SA team (except for a win over Carlton obviously).

Oh we're from Tigerland!

I'd given up all hope, just goes to show I need to have more confidence in them.

Back in the early 70's I listened to my first VFL match. Richmond v North Melbourne while driving to Melbourne. Richmond was the elite team so I barracked for the underdogs, Norths, who won. I have followed North's ever since.

Being a NSW resident I traditionally looked down on "aerial ping pong" and followed RL. Also as my family came from Balmain I naturally followed the Balmain Tigers and still do after 70 years. However it was nice to see Richmond break a 14 game losing streak.

Hi Malcolm,

Thought you may enjoy this:

New teacher announces that she is a Collingwood fan. Survey the class;

"Mary, why are you a Richmond fan?" My mum and dad were born and
raised in Richmond, so my mum is a Richmond fan and my dad is a
Richmond fan, and so I'm a Richmond fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, "that's no

reason for you to be a Richmond fan. You don't have to be just
like your parents all of the time. What if your mum was a
prostitute, your dad was a drug addict, and your brother was a car
thief, what would you be then?"

"Then," Mary said, "I'd be a Collingwood fan."

I am a Lions/Cpllingwood fan. I lived in Melb years ago. Went to the games before VFL became AFL. Now live in Brisbane.

Cheers
