I've been neglecting my astronomy in favour of my motorcycles for the last year or so. I've been disheartened by the constant high humidity in Newcastle and then the rain. To clinch the deal, my brother virtually swapped his dream bike for my dSLR - good deal for me. However, I was excitedly dragged out the back this morning by my good girl to an end-to-end double rainbow. And in between the arcs was the Moon. Here is what I managed to capture with my 2000 model Leica Digilux point and shoot. WYSIWYG; not an ounce of doctoring has been performed. The second arc is just perceivable by the discolouration of the cloud in the top right of the frame. If anyone reckons they can make something out of it - feel free.
