Posting large packages.

Hey, I'm selling my 8" dob and right now its pickup only... and im not getting much from it. If i was to make it delivered.. (I have all the packaging) Where would I need to go to get it shipped? and get it insured?? Any precautions I might need?

These fellas?

http://www.packsend.com.au/

I looked at using them but the seller couldn't arrange packing and delivery to them - hence the additional cost was too high.

Beat if you can deliver to their shop and your buyer can pick up from their shop at the other end.

Try NQX www.nqx.com.au - I've no complaints about stuff they have delivered.

Also check out e-go. They have a depot to depot deal, I dropped an 18Kg meter long wooden box off at the Brisbane depot (scope inside) and the buyer picked it up from a depot in Melbourne a day or two later. It cost $7.70 total !!!!! No insurance though, it would have cost $50 more to insure a $200 scope. They go by dead weight which is explained on their website.
