Mpcc

Now that I don't own a fast Newtonian, this Baader MPCC is surplus.

Peter,

Did you ever end up experimenting with this on your ED127? Did it resolve the wonky stars in the corners?

I could be interested pending your observations.

Cheers.

That's a 'pending' job. I am keeping my second MPCC (have 2 of them - heaven knows why) for just that. But trouble with mounts etc has kept me from it for a while; and now the weather. But one day .....

For the record, I bought an MPCC from Peter recently, and the improvement that it made to the images taken through my 12" F4.8 are amazing. It sharpens the image across the entire FoV, with the greatest improvement at the corners where stars with very bad coma are corrected to look like round stars again. I made the decision a couple of years ago that I was never going to image through a plain Newtonian again until I tried the MPCC.

Thanks must go to Dave Larkin for lending his MPCC to me for so I could trial it earlier this year, and then thanks to Peter for selling his to me!

Great news Greg. Glad it's working so well for you.
