Cleaning reflector

i just want to note that it is very well worth cleaning your newtonian mirrors regularly, cause im sure some people dont bother to, but you actually really dont notace how much dust it dose gather, it will definetly improve your scope.

A good average time between cleanings is about 18 months. Depends upon conditions, but remember the old saw: A dirty mirror performs better than a clean one!
Mainly because everytime you clean your mirror you run the risk of damaging it and actually you do anyway. Just be careful, take your time, don't forget to clean out whatever you are washing your mirror in, and pad the bottom of the container with something soft (old teatowel). Words to remember: Minimise the risk!
