Jupiter, 8th May

Some very good seeing this morning, and also a thick fog which made it more of a challenge... This image is from 6.26am, just before sunrise.

The early Bird catches the King - that is a super image. the detail in the bands are excellent - thanks for sharing!

Thanks all, here's an IR image from the same session - using an IR742 Astronomik filter, 1 minute at 30fps.

That's a quality image Anthony. I've just been viewing the Cassini images of Jupiter (taken on it's flyby) which are some of the best. The detail you've obtained from here is remarkable.

Simply stunning images Anthony. Just think monly a few years ago an image like that would have come from Mt Polamar.
