5.5 hours Centaurus A with 10 inch scope with blue jet

I combined images over 2 nights on Centaurus A this time with the 10 inch f5.6 Newtonian scope

33x10 mins ISO 200, unfiltered. MPCC coma corrector, modded 350D, off asix hand guided

Larger version here

The halo of centaurus A goes out a fair way, the blue star area near the dusd lane is also evident.

EDIT: I just noticed this wierd blue jet in this ESO pic

it can JUST be seen in mine, as shown. This is the first time Ive seen this jet, anyone know what it is?

Its in Mike Sidonio's image too here

I think this is about as deep as I can go from suburbia

Great image...particularly given your urban location.

Cent-A has a well documented jet that has been observed in X-ray and radio spectrums as well.

I had a look at my data from some years back http://www.atscope.com.au/BRO/gallery5.html and think I can see evidence of it as well.

Thanks all.
Yes, Peter I can see the jet on your image, to the left of centre near bottom of image.
