Since everyone's doing it

I had a go at Eta Carina with my ED80 Megrez triplet last night just to see what it could do with the QHY8. Its the first time that Ive used this scope for photography - its either used for visual or as my guidescope.
I was surprised at just how many stars are in this area and how wide a field these scopes capture. Its a good test object for setting out new systems as I used a modified 8x50 finderscope as my guidescope. All in all these images get compressed so much for posting they tend to loose a lot of detail and character.
Anyway the details were 17x5 min with QHY8, stacked in DSS and processed in PS3.
Comments welcome.

Looks good to me too, Allan! A larger sized version on pbase or something would be good though - there's more detail there than what we can see at the moment.

Nice going Allan. As you say it is a good test subject however as the others have said the small image really doesn't do it justice with so many megapixels on offer.
