Takahashi TOA-130S package for sale

Price reduction on the scope - now $6000. Mount still $1200. Both for $7000

As new (set up and used only twice) Takahashi TOA-130S apochromatic refracting telescope and (also as new) HEQ6 pro mount. Included in package are extensive accessories/extras for this setup.

Telescope: Takahashi TOA-130S Triplet Apochromatic Refractor

Takahashi TOA –130 Specifications (tube assembly only) Note - I do not have the reducer or flattener.

Aperture: 130mm

Focal length: 1000mm / 754mm with reducer

Focal length with flattener: 999mm

Focal ratio: f7.7 / f5.8 with reducer

Focal ratio with flattener: f7.68

Image circle: Ø92mm

Photographic field: 5.3° / 3.8°

Finder scope: 7x50 - 6.3°

Back focus from end of OTA: 256mm+

Tube diameter: 155mm / 179 mm with dew shield

Tube length: 812mm with adapters removed

Diameter of dew shield: 179mm

Dew shield: Retractable

Tube weight: 10kg (22lbs)

Extras: Custom made aluminium foam padded case (with wheels) for telescope tube
Full aperture solar filter
10:1 micro focuser
Custom mounting rings with aluminium plate & dovetail
Original Takahashi clam shell mounting plate

HEQ6 pro mount (plus SynScan contoller)

Full heavy duty Go-To as new (bought to accommodate the TOA-130S) used twice.

Extras: Extra counter weight (3 in total)
EQ6 Pro pier – plus original EQ6 Pro field tripod
Pillar extension for tripod
Powertech DC 13.8 volts 12A regulated power supply
Two custom foam padded Space Cases for mount head and counter weights & power supply
Cordura/canvas zippered bags for pier and pier legs

All original shipping boxes, instructions, reviews etc also available.

I want to sell this as a package, but would consider separating only if the telescope is sold first. In other words I won’t sell the HEQ6 Pro mount separately unless I have already sold the telescope.

Why am I selling? My grand plan was to buy this outfit when the Aussie dollar was strong as an early retirement present to myself (still probably 4 yrs away).

This outfit (especially the telescope) is top of the range highest quality gear and deserves to be used and enjoyed. There-in is my dilemma… I simply am not using it – in fact due to my hopeless sky view from my backyard, I cannot set this up at home. It needs a better home than I can offer. Another issue is I have early stages of cataracts in my right eye, and although treatable it is annoying and I find it simpler and easier to use my giant binoculars for extended use.

PRICE

Obviously those that may be interested will know the value of this package (with the extras) but a ball park current replacement would be over $11,000.

Although as new, I realise it is still 2nd hand, and am offering the total package for $7500.

If anyone is interested in the telescope only, I would consider $6000 for the TOA-130S and accessories, and if this was sold, $1200 for the mount and accessories.

Buyer to pay postage/shipping. I haven't a cost for shipping, but these are bulky and heavy items, so shipping could be several hundred dollars?

Thanks,
Paul
