IceInSpace in Alaska!

Just back from our 3 week retirement trip to Canada and Alaska, fabulous experience, everyone should go there!
Didn't manage any star gazing, cloud cover at night just about permanent unfortunately, but managed to catch a glimpse of a few constellations I have seen for many many years, Cassiopeia, Ursa Major & Minor, plus Polaris of course.

Have returned with 1,500+ pictures and video clips to sort out, amongst which are a couple from Glacier Bay in Alaska, the second one will have the title "You can keep your hat on"! Taken from the cruise ship MS Oosterdam.

Good to be back, now I've got to sort through three weeks of IIS postings!

Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris,

Welcome back.

Sounds like a dream trip! Good to see the IIS beanie at such far northern latitudes.
Who needs a freezer suit when you have one of these on your head.

We all look forward to some images in the terrestrial photography section.

Best regards

Gary

I've got a few that I may just share, but I'm no photographer!

Cheers

Into the Wild

Having watched Into the Wild, I'm very keen to see Alaska too.

Welcome back Chris.

Wow what a trip, that's one I'd love to do.
Show us some pix.

Looks like you're acclimatised and ready to go for Lostock 2010.
