ISS seen in broad daylight!

Hi all
For the FIRST TIME Ive seen the ISS in broad daylight! I saw it just a few
mins ago in 8x56 binoculars as it made a pass to the SE at 3 pm precisely. I located it at around its highest (and therefore nearest) point to my location.
It had clear size to it and was moving in the predicted direction and time.
What an amazing sight. So it can be done. What need to happen though is the ISS needs to be on opposide part of sky as the Sun, so enough of it is sunlit to see. if it is close to the Sun, its like looking for a thin crescent moon, then too faint.

Yes have a go, afternoons or mornings where the ISS will be in the opposite quadrant as the Sun, sweep up and down across the expected path with binoculars. If close to sunrise or sunset, it may even be visible to the naked eye.

Good work Scott, I tried a couple of days with really favourable conditions but I was just using the naked eye. Unfortunately I failed, but the problem I find is getting infinity focus against the blank sky - and you don't have long to spot it. I reckon some cumulous cloud would have helped
