Peter Wards lovely rendition of this beautiful Glob spurred me on to give it a try tonight myself with a somewhat smaller imaging rig.
I am pretty happy with the end result.
I do believe my camera has a bit of a tilt which needs to be rectified to fix the bottom right stars.
I need to attach it with all screwed adapters and remove the camera adapter.
Imaging Scope: Takahashi FSQ106ED with 1.6 extender (848mm)
Mount: G11 with Gemini
Guiding: QHY5 and WO 70MM scope
Camera: QHY9 with QHY filters
Image details: 10 X 2 minute exposures each RGB
15 X 2 minute exposures Luminance
90 minutes total exposure

Thanks Frank, Basically it is registered and stacked in Images plus. RGB is combined in IP also then taken to Photoshop for a stretch and to blend the Luminance in.

Thanks David, Hard to get the same sort of punch with about 1/4 the focal length and half the pixel count. I am still pretty impressed with 2 minute exposures through an inexpensive camera and what can be achieved with the Takahashi at f8.

Two totally different cameras.
Like me your probably wishing for a High Res imager. We just need to win lotto,LOL.

Thanks Peter, You could be right. The one thing I have found with the Tak is that a small change in temprature makes a big change in focus. Might have to get the auto focus with Robofocus up and going.
Well, immediately zooming in to 400% (as you do with any Omega cent), looks pretty fine to me, guiding is smick, but there is some sort colour offset there like coma or something.
Anyway, cant compare a 3m FL RC pic with a tiny refractor I wouldve thought?.
Nice shot, Doug. Just a minor suggestion. Why not crop it so it is centered in the field.
It has taken a while Mark, You are the first to comment about framing. I got sick of seeing it always dead centre so thought I would move off centre but was surprised you were the only one to comment.

Thanks Fred. 830mm doesn't compare well with 3000mm. The colour offset is the problem I have been having all along with the QHY9. I have a feeling it is a tilt problem with the camera. Hopefully I will be able to fix it with a screw together coupling. Time will tell.

Thanks Jen, It's always a nice bright target to learn with and hone your skills a bit. Processing it is something else. It can be quite dificult.

Thanks Peter, I stopped at 2 minutes because it was really only a test on the camera and even at 2 minutes it did show up some problems I will need to work around.
