Cosmos is the word.

Funny how sometimes the one word crops up over a 24 hr period, and today its Cosmos for me.
Subscibed to the Cosmos magazine, and it arrived today. Earlier today I ordered the book 'Cosmos' by Carl Sagan, and its CosMos's birthday on IIS, Happy Birthday CosMos!!
I wonder if that means I need to indulge in some Cosmopolitans tonight.

Hi Liz

SNAP! Well ... almost.

Recently I acquired the DVD set of Carl Sagan's Cosmos Series (1/2 price from ABC Shop) and only 2 nights ago started watching them. So much more gentle approach to presentation than many of the recent in-your-face productions. A bit dated perhaps, but a great series.

Cheers
John

oh I got excited at the half price. I have some videos still of that series from many many years ago. Carl Sagen was a hero. Was a sad day when he passed away.

Have never watched the series either, but would like to. He was such a great presenter - great voice, got the info over in a very intersting way, and good looking, of course. Might have to have a look around for it too.

Hey John .... whats that nearly ... 7' of seperation ... wth your Cosmos experience.

Yes, he was very easy on the eye, and the ears. Miss you Carl! And just the way he explained- so wonderfully animated.

Just to explain the (near) 1/2 price (~$80) Cosmos DVD set from the ABC shop - it was dammaged stock. So I have yet to find out whether any of the disks are affected. Looks good so far.

Rock on Carl! Damn shame you left us.

Cheers
John

Thanks Liz for the birthday wish, much appreciated. Looks like eyepieces and DVDs take priority which is probably the right order of things.

cheers

I always thought it was 'Grease'; Cosmos doesn't quite sound right.
