05/12/05 Moon with Venus

Manage to image the 4 day old moon last night, since it skirted pass Venus
earlier in the day I threw that in there too! although when it did actually
pass it was roughly 2.5 moon widths away and about 20 degree below the
horizon.

8" f/6 newt, LPI

Moon & Venus, 5 x composites of 20 x .020 exp's, merged into PS, level, curves, and some selective sharpening.

Sigma Orionis 70 x .800 sec exp's, levels in PS (December MOC)

regards,CS

Thanks guy's

I kinda liked the Venus next to Moon look.

Kearn, Yuo the LPI can image stars relatively well, but you have to play with it a bit.

Louie, thanks man, been into imaging planets anyways for about a year and a half.
Although I tend to stick with visual mostly. Due to prefering dso imaging and not setup
for that yet, and laziness for dragging the desktop out in the yard. Would love a laptop.

Anyways thanks for looking and your coments guy's, almost thought folks were over
luna images.

regards,CS have a great weekend!
