Electronic vermin control

I picked up the car from getting serviced today,The mechanic showed me the air filter, which was chewed up from mice or rats,he said this can occur regularly, and to put some vermin baits in various parts of motor bay.

Obviously, with modern motor cars there is a large amount of electronic wire, cables etc, which could be chewed,so I bought some baits.

I also bought a electronic vermin controller,(do these things really work?)
but, with all the central locking, alarm etc these modern cars have.Is there a
potential issue of a clash between such a device and the cars electronics??

I once asked some pointers to give me some direction to advice on another
electronic/technical issue,a while ago on this forum, and got some very useful
direction, which led me to solving that problem.

I know there are some very helpful, technical minded people on this site, that may be able,to give some advice on using these electronic/sonic vermin controllers. Thanks
