It is a shame that all these Eta Carinae images keep popping up. I am almost ashamed to post one, there are so many.
I have been working on this one for a while, it is about 4.4 hrs worth.
17x450sec Lum, 9x300sec each RGB. QHY9, Megrez 110, EQ6 Pro, MaxIm guide, capture, calibrate & align. DSS for stacking and PS CS3 for final processing. Some cropping at the edges for frame misalignment.
I think the focus is a bit soft and the stars are ugly, so it will probably get a repo at some stage.
Thanks for looking.
Have a great day.

Nothing wrong with that! Nice framing and colours.
I find this nebula to be very fine and almost perfect tracking required to give it that sharp look - so maybe its not your focus. You will ba bale to tell by examing your individual subs.

Very nice Graham, The field of view is very similar to my FSQ. Nothing wrong with imaging ETA, it's always a good one to work out a new camera and settings with.

Nice one.

Ashamed to share it! You're funny.
I love to see how others interpret their data and from that, try to improve my own capture and processing techniques.
Besides, I can never get enough of this nebula. There's so much going on there.

Cool shot Grey. I like the colours you got on the overall field.

Hi Marc. It can be hard to keep the colour and not bland it out.

Glad you got a laugh, JJJ! I've seen some of your work, not too bad either, I'd say!

Nice one.
Hi Doug! I like the field with the 110, which is why I am not happy with the flattener giving 0.8, as it reduces the field too much. Still think the gain might need to go up a couple of notches.

Thanks Dr Paul! Tracking/guiding did look pretty good on the night. The seeing was pretty poor, really, so that wont help either.

Hi Troy, thanks for that! Love looking at all the little bumps and swirls and globules.
