SLATO Observatory (Bowen Mountain)

Hello all,
I've finally gotten around to setting up a PBase site, and have posted some pictures / descriptions of the construction of my observatory (completed almost 2 years ago). See http://www.pbase.com/david_fitz_henry/observatory
Hopefully it may be of some interest / source of ideas for others undertaking a similar project.

Hi David,

Hope you have been keeping well.

A wonderful chronicle of an absolutely fabulous looking, fully featured observatory.

Best regards

Thanks Gary / Trevor / Houghy / David,
After 2 years of builing the thing (mostly weekends and a few weeks of annual leave) I may finally get a chance to do some astronomy again!!

Hi David,

You will certainly be doing it in comfort and style in a manner that many can only
dream about.

Hopefully the cuts and bruised fingers have long healed and that you will be able
to look back at the project with immense pride and satisfaction and look forward
to the future with much excitement and anticipation with the observing and imaging
that is to come. Good luck and I hope we will see you at Ilford again this year

Best Regards

Gary
