I have been struggling with a cold this weekend but a handful of good cold and flu tablets and a bundy or two lifted my spirits - so I looked at the Sun.
It was great to see different types of filaments (I did not know there were differences - there are at least a dozen?!).
The first pic is a stock standard filament as I understand them.
The second pic is of a Quiescent Filament - 'a big blanket' of suspended gas. I got a lot more detail than 2 days ago when conditions were poorer. Image from 2 days ago here -
