here is a nice little cluster of stars with real diffraction spikes hope you guys enjoy

Near full frame, only cropped a little bit for object centering and stacking edge atifacts

5x 5 min ISO 800
eq6/10"/canon 40d
finderguider/DSI

Hi Brendan,

Nice picture. It looks a tad green on my monitor, which is usually the influence of light pollution. I really like open star clusters done with a DSLR, they really do the job well.

Must agree on the star colour and possibly needs more subs otherwise not too bad framing good and tracking looks Ok at this scale

Thanks all for the comments.

I reworked the jewel box adjusting the colours (i did do it at 3am ). also i increased the luminance a touch.

Nice field but even the repro looks a bit blue to me, or too much color saturation. Other than that it's a nice frame.

Hi Brendon,

I just had a look at all 3 and the last one i think is the best. At least you are out there doing it. All i've got up here is cloud.
Keep up the good work, giving me something to strive for when it clears,LOL.

thanks all for the comments. it goes along way to colour calibration sometimes your so caught up in the image you miss some important bits.! .

yep duncan, we have had some shiiite weather lately, but it cleared up still and i am on uni break my mum said to me today.... you should really get some sleep your eyes give you away
