Hi Warren & Liz,
Cat 2 rating is not very bad but it is scary. I was in Cairns for cyclone Joy back in '90. It just stalked the area for three days.

No water , no power. At night was the worst. The house just kept shaking so much I was ready to bolt downstairs at the first cracking noise. Didn't happen and all cleared in the end.

I do not envy at all what you may be going through soon. Hopefully it will degenerate losing intensity quickly.

Take care you two.

Cheers Marty

Ului will cross the coast some 50 km north west of me at about 1 AM Qld time, with central winds to 175 kmh. As I write this, winds are gusting to 75 kmh.

And I saw the new moon...just.

Cheers, Bobj.
