Sunspot 826 on steroids!
Hi
On Saturday, after capturing 3 minutes of AVI of Sunspot 826 with the TeleVue x2.5 PowerMate, just for fun I plugged in the TeleVue x5 PowerMate.
What I saw on the Notebook display did not look promising but I captured 2 segments of 3 minutes of AVI to cover the extended Sunspot group.
After playing around with the X5 AVI’s in Registax, I was surprised to obtain the following results. Wow, this AVI stacking is really something else!
The first image is with the x5 PowerMate, from the results of 2 AVI's stitched together. The second image is with the x2.5 Powermate.
Vixen 4” refractor, ToUcam and PowerMates.
Cheers
Dennis

Thanks Mike. I took the x5 PowerMate AVI's just for the heck of it, not expecting to get anything worthwhile. The ToUcam seems more effective than the LPI in conditions of mediocre seeing from what I have experienced so far.
Cheers
