Akatsuki Venus Probe Launch scheduled for May 18

JAXA's Akatsuki probe to Venus is scheduled to launch on May 18. More here from Nature:

Thanks for the link Al. Will be interestin to see photos of lightning and eruptions from another world.

Cool, they are also going to swing in behind Venus and study the structure of Sol's corona.

Don't see many charge seperation tools on the online specs, but yes the lightning study will be great to see. A good look.
