Topaz Plugin testing

Downloaded the Topaz Plugins for PS and had a go at touching up a couple of Harbour shots. Fun to use
Used "Adjust" and "DeNoise" to tweak these two. The weird difraction spike were a result of leaving the polarizing filter on the lens

Both photos look A-OK to me Adam, what do you think about Topaz Labs stuff ??
I have bought the Clean2 filter. It is great to play with and turn photos into paintings, really like it. Also you can produce some really interesting textures and edges, amazing stuff. Of course the filter is near useless for astrophotography ... its such a defined thing.
I remember quite awhile ago I posted a picture of M8 that I had played with textures a little. I thought it looked pretty good, however I didnt get anything positive from anyone who posted a reply. Thats when I realised that space photos are not open to interpretation. I note of late though that this hard and fast view is changing a little at least in the area of colour with many more people trying their hand at the different blends of narrowband. But colour is one thing, texture is another.

Cheers Frank, pretty impressed with the features of the bundle.
Jeff, cheers. Yep don't think I'd ever use it for astro (when I eventually get around to capturing photons ) but mainly for landscape, HDR, that sort of thing. Don't think I'll touch any of the "far out" presets like sketch or paint, that sort of thing doesn't really interest me.
On the HDR side, the results of tone mapping can often result in lots of noise, halos etc and the DeNoise filter is great for toning down the noise. Anyhow I figure this is just another cool tool to have in the processing toolbox

Adam,

Could you, just for my curiosity, post the originals of both files? Same size/crop as the one's posted here.

I'm curious to see what's happened to one specific area in each image.
