Bearded Dragon : 1 Def. Grasshopper : 0

As the title says...

Today, Squeak triumphed over a rather massive grasshopper... My dad was able to get these photos of the event

A bit of an update on this little guy... He's about 28cm long or there abouts, 1yr 2mths old, almost completely vegetarian apart from the odd garden grasshopper and 5 or 6 crickets on a saturday morning..

Surprisingly, He's not really friendly.. Most beardies are really relaxed around people.. This little fella puffs himself up, opens his mouth up to show his sharp pointy ones in defense of himself... Having said that, He's never made good on his threats...

Too true... Not something you would ever expect to see this close up in the wild..

Luckily for me, I get to enjoy this sort of action on a daily basis.. be it grass hoppers or just watching the little guy go hell for leather on an apple or some Bok Choi...

Some people think I'm strange for loving reptiles more than dogs and cats.. Everyone has seen a dog eat dog food, and there is nothing interesting about it.. the upside is the dog loves you as much as you love it.. A lizard doesnt really care one way or the other.. as long as it gets UV light, heat and food, its about as happy as a pig in !!
