EtaC with new portable QHY-9 setup

Hi all

I have a thread running here (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/forum/s...ad.php?t=58464) in the equipment section describing my new ultra-portable widefield setup using my Tak P2-Z mount (totally unguided), the QHY-9 and a selection of Nikkor SLR lenses.

This is the result of a stack of 10 x 30sec, 10 x 60sec, 5 x 120 sec and 5 x 240 sec subs, auto darks and totally unguided - just a reasonable drift align beforehand. Not bad for no guiding whatsoever I reckon Captured and aligned in MaximDL v5, stacked and processed in Photoshop CS3.

Here's a hi-res version (3315 x 2461 and 3.4Mb), which shows that the mount is pretty accurate when just ticking along on clock-drive alone:

Certainly more data needed for a good image as such, but this was just an exercise to prove the setup. Can't wait to give it a real go now.

Thanks for looking!
