NGC 1499 by Bud Quinn

Hi Guys, i saw a simply stunning post on the imageplus groups forum by Bud Quinn. (http://www.budginn.com)

He has given me permission to post the link to the picture

Larger sized...approx. 30% of full size

I really like this one!!!

Here is his post for extra details
--------------------------------------
Hello friends,

This was taken about the same time as NGC7000. Full moon that really
played heck with the HA....tremendous gradient. The color was taken
about four days before full moon and a couple of hours before it came
up good....so the color was pretty good but short.

Larger sized...approx. 30% of full size

Approx 1 hour of Color data and two hours of HA
Telescope: Televue NP101 and .82 reducer
Camera: SXV-M25C
Acquired in AstroArt and processed in ImagesPlus and PSCS2 and Noels'
AstroActions.

Here is a picture of the HA...you can see the gradient....not sure how
much of the part I eliminated was signal.....couldn't find a really
wide view of this area on the net to be sure.

I'd like to get about two hours of HA of this when it's dark, but I
don't think it is going to happen very soon with all of the rain and
clouds in Oregon right now.

comments are always appreciated,

Yes, Bud certainly knows what he is doing. He is one of the best amature imagers around.

Cheers
