NGC4038 - Antennae

Well, it needed more focal length but the only scope I have in operation is the ED127 with the QHY8. This is a 50% crop from 3 hours of 10 min subs caught in the one night of 'clear' skies in about 2 months.
Enjoy. I certainly did.

Peter,

A pretty good image of a very difficult target.

The process is a bit grainy but you've got superb details nonetheless. I can't believe you've attacked that with a short FL.Tracking is tight as. Well done. That's a tough one

3hours of clear sky, I'm jealous. I'd like to see this done with the RC's FL

Seems clipped to me, you might find there is more detail in this data.

Sadly you're right Michael. I have almost as much to learn about processing as I do about cold fusion and the poetry of Ghengis Khan. But I'm working on it.

You just keep chipping away at it Peter, like myself I'm still learning and we will produce the goods with persistence

A half finished masterpiece Peter.. The data looks like pure gold, keep at it mate! Processing is something that in my opinion takes a lot more time and effort than capturing good data...

Good work mate... Looking forward to seeing the RC take on this target.
