Sounds like a good plan Peter. The old Grafton-Glen Innes road is one of our favourites. Apparently there is an old homestead on Old Cunglebung Road that Parks & Wildfires have restored. The old cemetery on the right hand side that Grafton 4WD Club have been restoring. The convict road tunnel. There is a gold stamper in the bush on Winterview property. The Mann River reservre is great camping. Awww, now I want to go there!!

Peter,

I wish you all the best, but what were you thinking giving advanced notice on a public forum that you planned to use a telescope?? Every cloud in the Southern Hemisphere is on its way even as I type. The rest of us will be fine and have clear skies (not that I plan to get out a scope - honest ) but you will need waders.

Glad you enjoyed yourself!! And it's great the kids loved it too. These days too many kids never get to experience the great outdoors nor find enjoyment without silicon chips.

Sorry about the observing, but you did bring it on yourself .
