Emergency stop for Gemini?

I was experimenting with some planetarium software and my G8 started slewing
towards the mount. Stopped it by switching off, but this can't do the gear
train any good. What's the best way of stopping a slew?

Thanks Frank
Can I clarify? Do you mean push both RA buttons or both dec buttons or one of each?

Edit: Hang on, I think I've got it: Push dec reverse and RA reverse at the same time?

A CG5 should stop on pressing any single slew button. If it doesn't the hand controller probably is not talking to the mount - i.e. it's run away.

Im pretty sure I emergency stop my mount just by hitting any of the directional buttons during a slew (which make sense) beause you just want it to stop at this point in time

Grahame.
